Big Yawn

Big Yawn are a four-piece experimental electronic group from Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. They operate in that hazy zone where club music mutates into something more abstract—pulling from drum & bass, dub, ambient, grime, and post-punk textures.

Their sound is built around warped vocal sampling, 
dense, effects-heavy synth layers, tightly wound, often off-kilter rhythmic structures, and a kind of tongue-in-cheek, collage-like approach to production.

They’ve been closely associated with Research Records, which helped release much of their catalog.
