Faithless are a hugely influential British electronic music group formed in London in 1995. The core founding lineup brought together Rollo Armstrong (producer, studio mastermind); Sister Bliss (DJ, composer, multi-instrumentalist); and Maxi Jazz (lead vocalist, lyricist).
Their sound blends house, trance, trip hop, and downtempo, but what set them apart was the fusion of club energy with introspective, often philosophical lyrics—largely delivered in Maxi Jazz’s distinctive spoken-word style.
They rose to prominence in the late ’90s with iconic tracks like, “Insomnia”, “God Is a DJ”, and “We Come 1”. They’ve sold over 15 million records worldwide and became renowned for powerful live performances. They disbanded in 2011, and reunited in 2015. After the passing of Maxi Jazz in 2022, Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong continued the project with new collaborators, carrying forward the band’s legacy.
