Angine de Poitrine

Angine de Poitrine

Angine de Poitrine is a Canadian experimental/math rock duo from Saguenay, Québec, formed in 2019. The group consists of two anonymous members performing under the pseudonyms: Khn de Poitrine, microtonal guitar, bass, synths, loops; Klek de Poitrine, drums.

They’ve been playing together since their teens, but the project took shape publicly around 2019 and gained real momentum from 2023 onward.

They perform in oversized papier-mâché masks and costumes, maintain complete anonymity, b math rock, experimental rock, and microtonal music, and use complex rhythms and alternate tuning systems.

Their music is largely instrumental and often feels like controlled chaos—tight, intricate, and hypnotic. Influences reportedly range from progressive rock to avant-garde jazz and non-Western musical traditions.
